went for a run slash walk this morning. . instead of crossing the FDR I crossed railroad tracks. . . rabbits ran in front of my path, not rats. . .

So, have arrived in Marfa!!!. . . .cell phone postings are difficult due to bad service but internet access at the DQ works and their large Diet Cokes last longer than the batteries in the computer so I am off and running. Drove for 8 hours today in my cute silver Toyota Rav 4 mini-SUV(a free upgrade from a sympathetic Hertz agent in Austin who felt bad about the 5 hours I was delayed at JFK). Tom and Vilis, the guys whose place I'm staying in are down in Terlingua right now so I haven't met them of the dog. They'll be back tomorrow. Place is cute . . .and has a bathtub!!! Hope to start being able to post pics soon. . . .
