Update

The awning is finished and swings are in place!!!! Yayyy! In other
news, I just booked a bobcat for the weekend, and I now know what an
escutcheon is (due to fact that my new kitchen faucet was missing one
when it arrived today).

Pinhole photography take 2

Pinhole photography workshop

This is my pinhole camera on a 15 minute exposure...I see this house
every morning when I walk ....it belongs to Chinati foundation .... We
each made the cameras by blacking out reused boxes with lots of duct
tape and black paper, making a pinhole and then inserting a sheet of
photo paper....exposure time is an educated guess based on available
light today, size of pinhole and size of box.... Car just drove by and
I was afraid it would blow over the box, maybe I'll weight it next
time.....

Results!

Somebody just stopped by to ask who was doing the work on my house
cause it looked so nice and was just what they wanted to do on their
place!

Happy 4th of July

Alfredo and eddie arrived at 8am to get the last few tongue and groove
in place (found in fort Davis luckily) and the fascia board up (yes, I
know what fascia board is!). We got that done before the afternoon
rain, and also just as i started to feel bad about them spending their
4th working for me! And I got three coats of sealer on the kitchen
floor... which will hopefully last longer this time...we ate Dairy
Queen for lunch....they say they'll be back Monday....stay tuned
